這件作品的初心是 沐冉 想給 麥斯 (他兒子)一個他所喜愛的世界。
畫面中有著許多 麥斯 的喜歡的植物、環境與嬉戲，呈現出屬於他的歡樂世界。
麥斯 撐著荷葉遊走其中。帶著我們走入他的世界。姿態優美的植物、能遊憩的噴水池，都是 麥斯 的最愛。
這就是 沐冉 想給孩子的環境。
同時也謝謝 麥斯 帶著他走入這世界。
Originally, the concept of this work is that Mu Ran wants to give his son Max a world which Max loves.The picture in the work which includes many Max’s favorite plants, scenes, and pleasure, reveals his joyous world.
Through creating, Mu Ran describes the relationship with his son. Also, it records the experience getting along with his son.
Max puts a lotus leaf up and wanders around to lead us going inside his world. The elegant plants and the fountain for recreation are all Max’s favorites.
The small sun, the nine first quarter moons, and a brighter star than moon and sun.
The warm sunlight is shining on the ground.
This is the environment Mu Ran wants to give to his child.
Although how the world is distributing, you can find a place belongs to you in the small world.
Also, thank to Max leads him to the world.
The specially mottled scene on this oil woodcut print visually shows an atmosphere of memory.
Various colors, and ink layered make the lines tender and lively.
Extending beyond the picture, the work leaves viewers the unlimited imagination.
Mu Ran’s oil woodcut print is monotype which means each print is unique printmaking. It means to carve and color on the same woodblock repeatedly. If any mistake happened in the process, a piece of work disappeared subsequently. Ever single picture and paint is unique and can not be create again.
In the passed 16 years. Mu Ran always can display the stories and emotions, that he wants to tell, on the printmaking. Furthermore, those works relate to life and are created naturally.
The size of this work is 240x90cm. (The four-consecutive printmaking is made with four separate 60x90cm prints, because the printing process is time consuming and fragmentary.)
Accurately ink colors matching. Repeatedly layers painting. The drying time of ink is different, it depends on weather, colors, and layers. Due to the layered ink and size, a piece of work takes at least 6-10 months to create.
Mu Ran’s works have already attracted a lot of attention among huge collectors. Also, the most of works have been booked for collection during creating period.
